Privacy Policy

Leeway ("the app", "we", "our") is a personal finance logging app for iOS. This policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and your rights over it. The short version: Leeway collects nothing about you. Your data stays on your device.

1. Data we collect

Leeway does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. All information you enter — spending entries, budget settings, and preferences — is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.

We do not have access to your data at any time.

2. No accounts required

Leeway does not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or authenticate with any third-party service. There is no user profile and no user identifier associated with your use of the app.

3. Analytics and crash reporting

Leeway does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We do not collect usage statistics, session data, or behavioral telemetry of any kind.

Apple may collect anonymized crash reports through the standard iOS crash reporting infrastructure if you have opted in to sharing diagnostics with developers in your iOS Settings. We receive aggregated, de-identified crash data through App Store Connect to help us fix bugs. This data cannot be tied to you personally.

4. iCloud

Leeway does not use iCloud or any cloud sync service. Your data is stored only on the device where the app is installed. If you delete the app, your data is deleted with it.

5. Subscriptions and payments

In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed exclusively through Apple's App Store infrastructure (StoreKit). Leeway never sees or handles your payment information. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for details on how Apple handles payment data.

6. Data export

You can export your data at any time from within the app. Exports are user-initiated and go directly to a destination you choose (Files, AirDrop, etc.). We receive no copy of exported data.

7. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the app. Continued use of Leeway after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
